| After buying this axial, i removed the "Goat" from it and went with the "Rooster" with the Novak 55T motor which i find works out just perfect with an 11T pinon and the stock 87T spur. I searched around here and RcCrawler for simple yet effective mods for this to make it a compitive crawler BUT with out costing me an arm and an leg....here is what i came up with. First here is what i started with.. Next i stripped it down to a pile "o" parts First was the "Mirror Tranny" mod which is fairly simple, on the axial tranny on the opposite side of your spur gear there is a small "Axial" symbol and it pops out, so simply reverse the build on the tranny it's self so the spur gear and motor are now still facing forward but on opposite sides and thus losing your tourqe twist and still keeping the weight of the motor out front. Stock tranny.. pop out that little plug .. Then rebuild it so the spur gear sticks out the opposite side it was before... more... | |

| More pictures of the finished tranny coming up, i also took the links from outside the chassis and mounted them inside which included having to trim up the bottom skid plate a little to allow the links room. the skid.. the cuts and links mounted.. you can see the motor in there now also.. this was to an easy to do mod and it removed areas for the crawler to get hung up on rocks with. | |

| and a couple more poser shots.. So all in all i made a pretty capable crawler with out spending an arm and a leg, the Mirror tranny rebuild, drilled hole in the rims to allow air to escape faster, inverted the shocks, removed the upper electronics mounting plates, added weights to the rims, star cut the foams and trimmed the outsides, used baby oil in the shocks cause it is so thin, and moved the links inside the chassis, and raised the body mounts to the shock mounts....more to come..but works awesome now.
